We found the 4 day cycling tour of the Mekong an amazing experience. The tour took us to the heart of the Mekong where we cycled in amazing scenery, through villages and by canals. We felt cycling was the best way to experience how people live in Mekong delta. Tung, our guide, was extremely good and genuinely keen for us to have a good time.

In more detail, every day of cycling was different. Different area, different scenery (fruit orchards, coconut plantations, rice paddies, khmer villages etc), different scenes of day life (fruit picking, rice cropping, weaving, goods trading, rice paper making, children playing and many more).

Accommodation in the hotels was above average and the homestay night was clean and had each own charm.

The food was just brilliant and Tung played a huge role to ensure we got plenty of quantity, variety and quality. From posh dinning by the water in Can Tho to eating with the locals outside in Tra Vinh. There was plenty of fruit tasting as well, either as part of a planned break or the ad hoc need for a bite.

Tung was very knowledgeable and happy to flex the schedule depending on our appetite, tiredness and mood.

Padded cycling shorts and trainers are highly recommended. Overall a must do trip for anyone who would like to experience the mekong delta first hand. I would definitely recommend Le Vietnam tours without any hesitation.
